Sunshine over The Waterfront - Inspire.Create.Challenges #018

Sunshine over The Waterfront - Inspire.Create.Challenges #018. Yes it is time for another Challenge over at Inspire.Create.Challenges, and it is a theme Challenge of Sunshine.
Waterfront stamp set Stampin up Sunshine Project for Inspire create challenge
I fell for the Waterfront stamp set as soon as I saw it in the Spring/Summer Catalogue and am thrilled that it is carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue, it is such a great set and is perfect for the whole year. Obviously today's project focusses on Sunshine, so I have a desert island with beach huts and the sun shining down. I have made the project into a picture, rather than a card, because, let's face it, that is pretty much what a picture is; an image in a frame.
It would be great to see lots of entries in the challenge this time round, it is perfect for everyone. Obviously it would be great if you happen to want to use Stampin' Up! products, but there is no need to limit yourself, you can use any products you like, so click on the image above and take a look at the inspiration the other Design Team members have come up with (I have had a sneak peek of all the projects; they are fantastic.) To see how I made my project, just click on the YouTube link below. Oh, and I used some of the new In Colours, which are available to buy now!!!
Remember, for every £25 you spend in May AND use the Hostess Code, you will be entered into a draw to win the Color Caddy and all four of the Core Color Family Ink Pads (as shown in the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue) worth in excess of £200! If you place orders of £50, you will get 2 entries, £75, you will get 3 entries etc. BUT if you place a single order of over £150 and opt to be your own Hostess (which means you pick how to spend your Rewards) you will only get ONE entry into the draw. Please note that this is a gift from me, and is non-returnable. The usual Customer Gifts will not be effected by the Prize Draw, so if you use the Hostess Code you will get a share of the Rewards, as usual. EVERYONE who shops with me will receive a handmade card and gift in the middle of the following month, regardless of how much you spend.

If your order is over £25 (plus P&P), please use the Hostess Code:

TGDNMHHQ
To share in the Hostess Rewards for this month AND become a VIP. If your order is over £150 (plus P&P), please don't use the Hostess Code as you will get to pick your own rewards, but don't worry, you will still become a VIP Reward Member.

The Starter Kit is ALWAYS the best deal in the Catalogue and great value at just £99 for your choice of £130 of products (with no additional P&P). Once you are a Member of this great Family, you get a discount on your future purchases, or an income from sales you make to other people; Win,Win Right?

Share What You Love - I want it ALL - Inspire Create Challenge

Yay! Lots of fun today. Not only is it day two of the Early Release for the Shae What You Love Bundles AND the New InColor Ink Pad Bundles, but it is also an Inspire Create Challenge sketch challenge day; which are one of my faviourite types of challenge.
Share What You Love - I want it ALL - Inspire Create Challenge
For Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, who have had access to the Share What you Love Bundles for a few weeks already, this is already the day we are allowed to order other items in advance of the new Catalogue Launch - I am very excited to see what is on the Pre-Order List!

As you will see, today's sketch is very easy, so I am hoping lots of you will jump in and give it a go. As this is not restricted to Stampin' Up! Products, there is no reason not to take part. This card took moments to put together and it is just so pretty. I saved Card by die cutting the small scallop squares from the inside of the mat, as these are the same colour, why not? Just click on the Sketch above to go to the Inspire Create Challenge page, look at the other Design Team Projects (lots of fantastic inspiration!) and upload your project. I can't wait to see them all!
Share What You Love - I want it ALL - Inspire Create Challenge
The stamping on the Whisper White squares is monotone on each, using first and second generation of the same ink colour; from left, Grapefruit Grove, So Saffron and Mint Macaron. The ribbon is the new Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon, available in two of the Bundles. Take a look at all the details by clicking on the picture below:

For every £25 you spend in May AND use the Hostess Code, you will be entered into a draw to win the Color Caddy and all four of the Core Color Family Ink Pads (as shown in the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue) worth in excess of £200! Inspire.Create.Challenge #016 - Colour Challenge

I think by now you know that I love the Inspire.Create.Challenge Projects. They may be challenges for you, but they are also Challenges for us!

This time is a REAL Challenge, it is a Colour Challenge, using as many of the soon to Retire InColours as possible. I think I have cracked it, as my card does use ALL of them, but it was definitely a challenge. I got the inspiration from Jenny Hall, who has taken part in a couple of our challenges and was a recent Winner. Her work is FANTASTIC, so do take a look at her blog (just click on her name above).
So now you have seen my project, click the image below to go and see all the others. As it is my turn to write the Post for the Group, I have had a sneak peek of all of the projects the other Design Team Members have come up with; they are all fantastic and include Scrapbook pages as well as cards.
I and some of the others have used all of the colours, but some have used just one, or have used just one, but repeated the same project using each of the colours.
We do hope you play along with us this time, remember you have two weeks to submit your project.
For every £25 you spend in April AND use the Hostess Code, you will be entered into a draw to win the Many Marvellous Markers, so if you place orders of £50, you will get 2 entries, £75, you will get 3 entries etc. BUT if you place a single order of over £150 and opt to be your own Hostess (which means you pick how to spend your Rewards) you will only get ONE entry into the draw. Inspire.Create.Challenge 015 - Masculine Cards

Wow, did you see the winner of the last challenge? What a fantastic project! I hope you know that anyone is allowed to take part, just hop over the the Design Team Page and read about how to do that. Follow the link in the Challenge picture below.
Inspire.Create.Challenge 015 - Masculine Cards - Wood Textures and Colorful Seasons
Today is a particularly 'challenging' challenge; Masculine Cards. I think a lot of us struggle with these, so I encourage you to go and have a look at the other projects for some amazing inspiration.

I think mine looks more complicated than it actually is. It really is just a bit of fussy cutting and some die cutting, with a little bit of stamping thrown in, just in case you thought I had forgotten!
I love the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper and have used it for so many projects, and to be honest, most of them have been for men! I have paired it with the Colorful Seasons Bundle of dies and stamps. This bundle really does cover all the seasons, so is a great investment. I don't yet know if it will be in the new Annual Catalogue (I will find out in a few days), but what I do know is that if it is, it will not be available with the 10% Bundle discount, so if you want it, you should order it now.
The two cards I made are very slightly different but only because I use Linen Thread on one and Copper Trim on the other. Which one do you prefer?

If you would like to sample some Stampin' Up! products, why not take a look at my Monthly Craft Box. I am taking orders for the April Craft Box until 14th April. To see what you get for only £20 delivered, take a look here:

To make sure you never miss a blog post, please subscribe to my blog by email. Just pop your email address in the box at the top of this page (on the desktop version), go through a couple of standard security bits (to protect YOU), and you will get an alert in your Inbox every time I post!

Why Waste a Good Sketch Challenge? Make Two Projects, or Three?

Yesterday I showed you the project I made for the latest Inspire.Create.Challenge, if you didn't see that, please go and take a look HERE

If that project was not for you, then how about this one. I have actually used Designer Series Papers on a card!! WOW, that is not common for me, but I ma trying to be better and actually use it, rather than gaze at it or stroke it. It is meant to be used, and I need to remember that!

Sweet Soiree, Cake Soiree Sketch Challenge

Today I am using products from the Sweet Soiree Suite, but although the projects are using the same products, I hope you agree that they look very different. One is fresh and brings hope for spring, the other is more sophisticated.

If you are wondering where I got the Daffodil Delight Metallic Edge Ribbon, the answer is, I used the Silver Edge ribbon and the Dark Daffodil Delight Blend - easy, and now you can make lots of colours, just get the Blends! If you need to budget for your Blends, then why not join my Blends Club and get Free Products from me! See the Blends Club Tab above.

You can definitely see that they follow yesterday's sketch and if you look at all four cards next to each other (see the video for that) then it is obvious that I have not changed the sketch at all, but you can; flip it, do it landscape, all sorts of changes can still be true to the sketch - why not have a go yourself and then share your project on the Inspire.Create.Challenge site.

I hope you have enjoyed today's versions of the sketch.

Remember that until 31st March, you will get FREE items for every £45 order (if you spend £90 you can either choose 2 Items, or 1 of the new Level 2 Items!!!).

Until the end of March I am running a FREE Prize Draw for UK residents. If you sign up to my Newsletter between now and 31st March, you will be entered in the draw for a mini Craft Kit, with lots of lovely goodies in it including Notecards & Envelopes, Designer Series Paper, Ribbon and Embellishments. Please include your postal address if you wish to be entered into the Draw. Inspire.Create.Challenge 014 - Lift Me Up Marbled Ice

I am thrilled to be taking part in another Inspire.Create.Challenge, and this time it is one of my favourites; a sketch challenge.

Lift Me Up Marbled Ice Sketch Challenge

Although I love sketch challenges, this one had my stumped for a while and I had a few goes at my project, but once I knew what I was aiming for, it all came together fairly quickly.

I wanted to try out the 'Ice Technique' but decided to find an easier version of it, which I bring to you today. This is, if you like, the easy version, using the fantastic Marbled background stamp and a standard Classic Ink Pad with clear embossing powder, to get the effect. It worked particularly well with the balloon from Lift Me Up because it looks like clouds and sky (in my eye anyway).

Lift Me Up Marbled Ice Sketch Challenge

I have used the Sale-a-Bration Shimmer Ribbons on both versions of the card and also added rhinestones, just in case there was not enough 'bling' on the card with the foil!

I hope you will take a look at the video to see just how easy it is to get this effect. The only thing to bear in mind is that stamping on a slick surface runs the risk of the stamp slipping, but also remember that the foil card does not like too much heat being applied to it.

I would love to see lots of entries from my regular followers this time around, so if you are tempted, please take part. If you go over to the Inspire.Create.Challenges website (just click on the picture of the sketch above, you can see all the amazing projects the other Design Team Members have come up with, then have a go yourself!

Inspire Create Challenge Bubble and Fizz Colour Challenge

Welcome to another Inspire.Create.Challenge. Did you have a look at the winning entry from the last Challenge? Wasn't it fantastic?

This time we have a Colour Challenge for you, inspired by four of the colours in the Sale-a-Bration FREE Designer Series Paper that matched perfectly with the Bubble Over Bundle from the Spring/Summer Catalogue; some of the dies even cut out images on the papers!! But enough about that, I have not used any of the products from the Bundle, although I love them and have featured them on a recent video.

Inspire Create Challenge Bubble and Fizz Colour Challenge

My Project uses some of the papers as Mat layers on this card, but the main feature has to be the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper that I have coloured and fussy cut, and the Celebrate You Dies and matching Amazing You Stamps, all products from the Sale-a-Bration Brochures. 'But what are the colours' I hear you say. Well they are:

Click on this picture to go to the Inspire.Create.Challenge site and see what the other Design Team Members have made.

Don't you just love these? I used Basic Grey for the Cardbase and the shadow on the die cut, Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Markers to colour the images and Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight papers for the background. I added Silver Foil for the top layer of the die cuts, added a few Basic Rhinestones and the front of the card was done. I stamped the inside of the card with a few of the sentiments from the stamp set and I was done. To see exactly how I put it all together, watch the video.

Here a close up and a shot with a glimpse of the inside for you:

Inspire Create Challenge 012 - Hedgehugs

Did you take part in the last Challenge, I loved that sketch, it just made it so simple to put my card together. This time we have a Theme for you - Animals. As I have fallen in love with the Hedgehugs stamp set in the Spring Summer Catalogue, the choice was easy.

Inspire Create Challenge Hedgehugs Poloroid Card

I thought I would make a fun and really cute card, which is perhaps not my usual style. I am so pleased with how it turned out. I really like the look of Poloroid photos, which are quite a 'thing' in Scrapbooking at the moment, so I thought I would borrow that style for this project.

A bit of simple masking and some colouring (both on the stamps and on the images) and it all came togethere really easily. Add some texture with the Dynamic Textured Impressions Scattered Sequins Embossing folder and it was done. And it is really cute, and I LOVE it.

I hope you will hop over to the Inspire Create Challenge website (just click on the image above) and take a look at what my fellow Design Team Members have come up with, and then have a go. We love to see all your entries.

Until the end of March I am running a FREE Prize Draw for UK residents. Inspire Create Challenge #011 - It's Sketch Time!

Many apologies for having been 'Missing In Action' for a while. I am hoping I am back on track and crafty goodness will flow again now.

Just my luck to get food poisoning and flu one week after the other, and just as I had got myself reasonably ahead with my blog and YouTube. But enough of that, you want to know about the new Inspire Create Challenge.

Petal Passion and Stampin Blends for Inspire Create Challenge 011

Petal Passion and Stampin Blends for Inspire Create Challenge 011

This week we have a sketch to inspire you and to get the crafty mojo flowing. To be honest, I had forgotten that I was due to submit a design this week, my brain has really gone into slow mode, so I was a little concerned that I would struggle to get something put together, but do you know, it took less than an hour to come up with the idea, make the project and take the photos; don't you love it when that happens!

I know I shouldn't say it, but I am absolutely thrilled with the idea too. Using the Black and White Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and colouring in a strip across the middle with Stampin' Blends just works. Then add the die cut, and it all came together. I used the middle of the Silver Foil Matt for my die-cutting, so there was nothing wasted. It is an age since I used Rich Razzleberry, and I can tell you, it is starting a bit of a trend for me, so watch our for more of that very soon.

Please hop over to the Challenge Page, just click on the sketch above, and take a look at what the other Design Team Members have made of this sketch, they are an extremely talented group, so they will give you masses of inspiration. Then just link your project to the page and you never know, you may win!!
