The card I have for today is a fun fold (a fairly common one, but fun none the less) and is so pretty. It also shows that you can use Whisper White and Very Vanilla on the same project and it can work. If you pick the the right elements it really does work, don't you think?

Today I thought I would CASE the sample shown in the flyer so you can see just how easy it is to put together. I have cut a mat for the stamping, which I don't think they did in the sample, but I do like to do it that way, and the Very Vanilla card is in the Bundle, so why not.
The key to this card is to accept that as you build up the stamped layers the middle of your card is going to start to look very messy, but that is fine because we are going to cover it all up. You will see in the video that I did not ink up the full length of the stems of the cluster of flowers, this helps to restrict the amount of mess in the middle, so just a word to the wise on that one.
The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of Very Vanilla and then popped up on Dimensionals to cover up the mess in the middle of the card. I also stamped on the envelopes, just because you can!

You should know by now that I really enjoy a sketch challenge, so when our team were given this challenge, I went for it.
This is my finished card, and it uses my absolute favourite stamp set of the moment, Animal Outing. This was a free set I was given when I attended OnStage about a month ago along with about 500 other Stampin' Up Demonstrators. The words came from Sunshine Sayings, a great old favourite with lots of individual words that you cam put together for the perfect sentiment.
This is the sketch we were issued. It came with some fairly detailed instructions, which suggested that the floral element should be a floral. Right, so that didn't happen in my version, but for me that is the whole point of a sketch; look at it and use it to inspire the project, rather than follow it strictly.
In the close up above, you will see more of the details of the main element. The Animal Outing set does come with dies, but they are not available, even for Demonstrators, until June, so I just fussy cut the two pieces out, and they are super easy to cut. I stamped both characters in Classic Ink and used the fact that the colour would 'move' with the blender pen to my advantage when I came to colouring the pieces in.
I am so pleased with how the card came together and how cute it is. In the video, above, you will be able to see exactly how I put the final card together, it is super easy and a really fun project. The finishing touches were the addition of the Glitter Flakes from the Spring Summer Catalogue, which is on the retirement list, so grap it NOW.

Yesterday I showed you the box I made for the book my husband and I are giving a friend of ours, whose birthday is today. Now I have the matching card to go with this.
This is a very straightforward card, but with the benefit of hindsight, I chose the wrong patterned paper for it - the rigt suite, just the wrong pattern. Having decided to add a detailed die cut, I would have been better with one of the plainer patterns, but I had already got in my mind that I was going to use the same pattern I used for the box......
I added multi-purpose adhesive sheet to the back of the Champagne Foil (which matches this suite so well), so adding the die cuts was a dream, even for the detailed 'Happy Birthday', just remember that wieht the added thickness you may not cut all the way through to the back of the adhesive sheet, but you will still cut through the foil easily, so that is no problem. Oh, and did you spot it is our friend's 60th?

Today I am casing myself with one of my favourite card designs - the Poloroid shot. I love this idea when there is an image that could have been taken as a photo, it is just such fun!
This layout also shows off some of the retiring Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, which was one of the first packs I bought from the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue. The designs I have selected for this are 'B' sides and set off the main feature perfectly.
I was lucky enough to get the stamp set when I attended OnStage earlier this month, and what a month. Is it really less than a month since OnStage, it is hard to believe, but it is only about 3 weeks ago. I love this stamp set and can see so many fun projects already, and that is without having access to the matching dies and DSP. Not everyone that goes to the twice yearly OnStage Demo Event takes part in Swapping, which I find amazing. Why would you not want to see all the fantastic projects that your fellow Demonstrators come up with?
When I swapped with Team Mate Gilly Hunt, she gave me a choice of which one of her swaps to take. I didn't hesitate, I immediately chose the Card Front with the Embossing Paste detail. It is so cute. If you click on Gilly's you wilsee her post about both of her swaps; I bet you agree with me that I got the best version!
My CASE card is a little larger and uses retiring colours, but I think it works just as well as her original idea. I love her idea for this card, I don't use our Embossing Pastes nearly enough, but I think she has encouraged me to get them out more often.

I wanted there to be a little more depth in the card, although it does mean that as I also used Dimensionals for the sentiment, it will need a Large Letter stamp. Today I am bringing you another in my mini series waving goodbye to some of the retiring products.
It seems fitting that I should use the very first stamp set I got from the Spring Summer Catalogue in this series. It is the Lovely Wishes Stamp Set that I showcased at OnStage in November. I lived with it for about 2 months leading up to the event, and have hardly inked it up since, so there is a quick card using it.
I have used Glossy White Card for the stamping layer and Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Ink, although with some Gold Embossing. I love the soft feel you get using paler colours on the Glossy White Card, you just have to be a little careful not to slip as you stamp.
I added a band and bow of narrow Gold Ribbon to tie in with the gold embossing. My only concern with all of this is whether any of the products I used will still be in stock when you see the video. Everything is selling really quickly, so don't hang around, jump over to my online store and stock up on everything you loe while it is still in stock. I heard some great news a week ago (as you read this); one of my customers has given birth to their second child, and I am thrilled.
As soon as I heard the news I grabbed my Little One stamp set to make this card. I love this stamp set, which as I have no children and am very happy to give them back when they start to cry, is a bit of a surprise. But I think it is so cute, ideal for quick cards and can be coloured to make it perfect for either a boy or a girl (as in this case).
Team it with the Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper for a bit of bling without going too over the top. Other than the Tuxedo Black for the main images, I did not use any ink pads for this project; both the stamping and the colouring were done with the 2017-2019 In Color Stampin' Write Markers, which have the same ink in them as we use on the pads.
I fussy cut the tippee and lifted it up with some dimensionals so that would become the focal point on the card. Before sticking it in place I added some Powder Pink stars around where the top of the tippee would be, which I think finished the front of the card off perfectly. A sentiment and the floral bough on the inside of the card and it was done. And I love it.
