You should know by now that I really enjoy a sketch challenge, so when our team were given this challenge, I went for it.
This is my finished card, and it uses my absolute favourite stamp set of the moment, Animal Outing. This was a free set I was given when I attended OnStage about a month ago along with about 500 other Stampin' Up Demonstrators. The words came from Sunshine Sayings, a great old favourite with lots of individual words that you cam put together for the perfect sentiment.
This is the sketch we were issued. It came with some fairly detailed instructions, which suggested that the floral element should be a floral. Right, so that didn't happen in my version, but for me that is the whole point of a sketch; look at it and use it to inspire the project, rather than follow it strictly.
In the close up above, you will see more of the details of the main element. The Animal Outing set does come with dies, but they are not available, even for Demonstrators, until June, so I just fussy cut the two pieces out, and they are super easy to cut. I stamped both characters in Classic Ink and used the fact that the colour would 'move' with the blender pen to my advantage when I came to colouring the pieces in.
I am so pleased with how the card came together and how cute it is. In the video, above, you will be able to see exactly how I put the final card together, it is super easy and a really fun project. The finishing touches were the addition of the Glitter Flakes from the Spring Summer Catalogue, which is on the retirement list, so grap it NOW.

I have actually used Designer Series Papers on a card!! WOW, that is not common for me, but I ma trying to be better and actually use it, rather than gaze at it or stroke it. It is meant to be used, and I need to remember that!
Today I am using products from the Sweet Soiree Suite, but although the projects are using the same products, I hope you agree that they look very different. One is fresh and brings hope for spring, the other is more sophisticated.

A few days ago I launched my Crafty Hangout on Facebook. It is a little corner for people to share their crafts, whatever they may be, with like minded people.
Most of the people that have joined so far are paper crafters, so I thought it would be fun to to issue a challenge, no pressure, no prize, just fun. This is my version of the sketch.

Is anyone surprised that I chose to feature a Sunflower in my challenge project? I used some of the Memories & More Color Theory Card Pack as the background and for the stripe, with some washi tape at the very top and a few Glitter Enamel Dots.
