May Craft Box - Just in time for Father's Day

May Craft Box - Just in time for Father's Day, which is on 17th June, and is so often ignored! I know Mothering Sunday is a day that the UK has marked tradtionally for decades (on a totally different day from much of the world - because in the UK it is based on a Tradition), but I do think that our Father's are often ignored. Let's change that this year!

I know I am late bringing you the May Craft Box, unfortunately life caught up with me and there was no avoiding it, but I have a fantastic selection for you this month. I should add that it was a bit of a challenge because of the change of Catalogue, but, this year there is a bit of an oddity; just one of the Designer Series Papers is carrying over, this is pretty much unheard of, but it is perfect for the male theme I was planning, so if you are ready, here is the contents of the May Craft Box:

• 1/2 pack of Wood Textures Paper (that's 2 each of 12 designs of 6 x 6" Paper)
• 2 A4 sheets each of Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Powdeer Pink (who says Wood Textures are only for masculine projects?)
• 2 A4 sheets each of smooth Whisper White and Very Vanilla
• 1/2 sheet of Copper Foil (6 x 12")
• 1/2 pack of Corrugated Elements (that's 4 each of 3 designs)
• 1/4 pack of True Gentleman Buttons (that's also 4 each of 3 designs)
• 1 Yard of Copper Trim
• 1 Yard of Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon
• 2 Yards of Linen Thread
• 5 Acetate Card Boxes (perfect for all kinds of gifting)
• 5 Each of Whisper White and Very Vanilla C6 Envelopes

As every, the contents of the Box exceeds £20, however, it is yours for just £20 delivered by Royal Mail 1st Class to your door in a letter box friendly box (so you don't need to be in to get yours). P&P is included in the price. To order full quantities of the items would cost over £75, you an get the perfect amount of each for just £20! All the contents are carefully packaged in storage bags, wrapped in my signature Sunflower Yellow tissue paper, boxed and sealed in my signature envelope. The kit will include a handmade card and gift from me.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 015 - Masculine Cards

Wow, did you see the winner of the last challenge? What a fantastic project! I hope you know that anyone is allowed to take part, just hop over the the Design Team Page and read about how to do that. Follow the link in the Challenge picture below.

Today is a particularly 'challenging' challenge; Masculine Cards. I think a lot of us struggle with these, so I encourage you to go and have a look at the other projects for some amazing inspiration.

I think mine looks more complicated than it actually is. It really is just a bit of fussy cutting and some die cutting, with a little bit of stamping thrown in, just in case you thought I had forgotten!

I love the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper and have used it for so many projects, and to be honest, most of them have been for men! I have paired it with the Colorful Seasons Bundle of dies and stamps. This bundle really does cover all the seasons, so is a great investment. I don't yet know if it will be in the new Annual Catalogue (I will find out in a few days), but what I do know is that if it is, it will not be available with the 10% Bundle discount, so if you want it, you should order it now.

The two cards I made are very slightly different but only because I use Linen Thread on one and Copper Trim on the other. Which one do you prefer?
