Handmade Notebooks - From Scratch - Seriously!

I am a great fan of notebooks, I have dozens of the in all shapes and sizes, although I never seem to have on to hand when I need one. I am thinking the solution to this is to make my own!

I have a long reach stapler, so theoretically I can make any size, only limited by the size of the card and paper used to make them. But I want them to fit in a half wood stamp case, so I am looking at small notebooks.

Handmade Notebook, Painted harvest, Myths and Magic, Pick a Pattern

The finished size is 3-1/4 x 4-1/2" (8 x 11cm), it is so cute. You can either make the cover with card, covered in Designer Series Paper, Stamped Cardstock, or Specialty Designer Series Paper, the choice is yours. Add your pages, (these do need to be quite a bit smaller on the long edge to allow for the fold) staple together and then add your ribbon and a stamped sentiment, and you are done!

These are perfect for children's party favours, Craft Fairs, Table Gifts at Crafty Workshops, the list goes on. And the only special equipment is the long reach stapler - mine was under £10 on Amazon and came with some staples.

Remember that until 31st March, you will get FREE items for every £45 order (if you spend £90 you can either choose 2 Items, or 1 of the new Level 2 Items!!!).

January Customer Thank You Gift

I love all my customers, whether they spend a small amount, or a larger amount, they are all very special to me and I like to thank them for supporting me.

No matter how large or small an order a customer places with me, they will always be sent a little handmade gift from me, sometime it is sweets or chocolate, sometimes, as this month, it will be something a little more practical. If a customer uses the Host Code, then they also get some Product from me as a Thank You for doing so. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to send any of this to customers who select 'No Contact' when they place their order, so this month I am not able to send a Thank You to a few customers, which does make me a little sad.

But for those who did share their contact details, this is the little Thank You gift I am sending to everyone who ordered in January. I am hoping it will be useful.

Dimensions
Cut a piece of Cardstock that is the width of your notebook and at least 1-1/2" (4cm) longer than the length. Allow a small amount of overhang at the bottom of the front of the notebook, and then score at that point, add the depth of the notebook and score at that point also. Cut Designer Series Paper that is 1/4" (1cm) smaller than the dimensions of the front of your notebook.

Covered Note Book Gift. Let me show you how easy this is to do.

I shared a covered note book that I send out as a Gift, last week. I have been asked by a few people to show you how I cover the book, so here we go. It is really easy, trust me on this.

Welcome Gift Covered Book. Let me show you how easy this is to do.

I use a standard Exercise Book as the base, which happens to to be the perfect size to use a half sheet of Designer Series Paper. So I just cut this at 6" and stick to the front of the book with Fast Fuse, lining it up at the top of the book. I then trim the bottom off the paper and save this for later when it comes to covering the chocolate bar I include in my Gift Pack.

I add a piece of ribbon around the spine, a few appropriate Die Cuts to the front (using the wonderful Multi-purpose adhesive sheets to make it REALLY easy!) and it is done. As I said at the beginning, this is really easy.

Remember that until 31st March, you will get FREE items for every £45 order (if you spend £90 you can either choose 2 Items, or 1 of the new Level 2 Items!!!).
