The Year-End Sale is HERE!!!!!

From tomorrow, 1st December, until 2nd January there are some AMAZING bargains to be had over at my on-line store. At the time of writing I have no firm details of what these will be, other than to say they are WHILE STOCKS LAST, so if there is anything you have had your eye on, go and take a look NOW and get it in your basket.

BUT remember that having it sitting in your basket for a few hours will not guarantee it being there when you come back to check out, so this really is a time to write your list and jump over to my shop and just get that order placed, this is not a time for hesitation! As the saying goes 'he who hesitates is lost'.

Oh and if you want to make sure you never miss a blog post, please subscribe to my blog by email. Just pop your email address in the box at the top of this page (on the desktop version), go through a couple of standard security bits (to protect YOU), and you will get an alert in your Inbox every time I post!

The Starter Kit is ALWAYS the best deal in the Catalogue and great value at just £99 for your choice of £130 of products (with no additional P&P). Once you are a Member of this great Family, you get a discount on your future purchases, or an income from sales you make to other people; Win,Win Right?

Window Box on the World of Tea Lights - #246

We all like a simple project with a short list of supplies don't we?! Well this has to be about as short a list as you can get.

This is a perfect project for one of those inexpensive LED Tea Lights you can get pretty much everywhere now. It only uses three products, so has an extremely short list (OK, I accept you need a BigShot too!) and it is so pretty, and safe. I can see a few of these on every, or every other, stair, so pretty and because they are card around plastic, they are safe, just in case they are kicked or stepped on.

I hope you give these a go.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 006 - #245

Yay! I love an Inspire.Create.Challenge day, and that means today is a particularly great day.

Today is Fancy Fold Day, so here is the first shot of my Fancy Cold Card, or should that be cards? Because I have two for you, one Christmas and one not, but using a set that can be either.

Half Full, Seasons of Whimsy, Fancy fold card

The Real Red version is for a Birthday card for a very special man in my life, and I cut the individual panels of Designer Series Paper separately, but the Christmas Version I took the plunge and cut the DSP in one piece, which works because it is a lighter weight, but I think cutting individual panels is best if you are using our usual weight of paper.

Half Full Fancy Fold

Seasons of Whimsy Fancy Fold

I did have a little bit of an 'issue' with the video for this project, all my own making - note to self to make sure your camera has enough battery before you start filming!!

So, how do you take part in this challenge? Easy, just click on the image below to go straight to the page for this challenge, read the Guidelines and off you go!

Sorry about that! Here's a Cute little project to make up for it - #224

Sorry I have been Missing in Action, I have had an interesting couple of weeks. I have been very busy with Craft Fairs, my new part-time job, some Stampin' Up! Leadership training and a couple of minor health issues. There is that saying about it never raining, but pouring!!

Merry Little Music, Christmas Pines 3x3 card

As I know some of you worry if I mention health issues (for which many thanks), it has been nothing too serious, just a slight lack of voice, thanks to a minor infection, followed by a self inflicted minor injury to my right index finger. Dropping an industrial guillotine on your finger is not to be recommended, they are heavy, and it will hurt.....a lot! Hopefully it will not cause me any problems come the weekend and my Christmas Card Making Challenge, which is only a few days away now. If you feel like supporting my efforts, then this is the image below:

Anyway, back to general crafty stuff now!

Today's project is a couple of the smallest cards I have made for a while. I did make some similar ones recently, but these are perfect for last minute cards or gift giving. They use the 3 x 3 envelopes that are available in the Autumn/Winter catalogue, and if you want to make a set of them, they will fit perfectly in the Mini Pizza Boxes, which are also in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

The paper is Merry Little Music, the stamp is from Christmas Pines (which is in the Annual Catalogue - remember that?) and the pearl is a Basic Pearl coloured with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Blend.

Such a quick and easy project, but still stunning!

Huge Candle Gift Box, Perfect Hostess Gift - #243

We all love to turn the ordinary into something special, right? Well I have taken three very ordinary dinner candles and turned them into a really great gift for a hostess. How? Just by gift wrapping them in an amazing box, adding some die cuts and some ribbon.

The trick with the Old Olive Box is colouring the ribbon with the all new Stampin' Blend in Dark Old Olive, it matches perfectly and adds that little bit extra.

I hope you enjoyed this and will give it a go. Just hop over to my online store to get the products you need to complete this project.

Black and Pink Christmas - Why NOT! - #242

Well that was a bit of a longer break than I had anticipated! But I'm BACK and I have a simple, but slightly different project for you today. And when I say different, I only mean that the colour scheme is not classic Christmas. The card itself is a classic and quick project to put together, so is likely to be one of the designs I use for my 1,000 Christmas Cheer Challenge. Did you hear about this Challenge?

Snowflake Sentiments Stampin Up

Because Stampin' Up! has been in the UK for 10 years this year, the UK Demonstrators are being challenged to make 20,000 cards over two long weekends in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC). We have already had one of those weekends, but the next one is from 1st to 3rd December. Because I am just a little insane, I have challenged myself to make 1,000 Christmas Cards over those three days. All the cards will be passed on to RMHC for them to sell to raise money, Click this link to find out more about their work. To help with the funds, I am hoping to get lots of sponsors for my challenge, all of the money I raise will go to the House at our local hospital in Oxford. If you would like to help this great cause, it would be fantastic if you could sponsor me. Just click on this link to go to my Sponsorship Page:

SPONSOR ME HERE

If you are a UK Tax payer, remember to Gift Aid your donation so even MORE money goes to this great cause.

I hope you enjoyed this project and look forward to sharing more with you very soon!

Strictly Come Dancing this is NOT!

Did that get you wondering? The Blackpool show is always amazing, but the so was the first day of the Christmas Craft Market at Mill View Garden Centre in Wheatley. It was an early start, but I got set up quite quickly which gave me a chance to have a look at the other stalls. The organisers were very careful to only allow two of any type of stall, which meant there was a good variety for the visitors.

I had a great day, and I am not just talking about the sales. I met some lovely people, and was thrilled to see a team member I had not caught up with for a time.

Tomorrow, well today for you, will be a completely different day. We will have different visitors, but also some different stalls,so it should be another fun day.

Christmas Craft Fair - Stunning Pictures

Today I am attending the Christmas Craft Fair at Mill View Garden Centre in Wheatley. For anyone who is not from Oxfordshire, this is a large village just outside Oxford, and the venue is where I do my Coffee and Card events every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
The Fair is on all weekend and is going to be a blast. There are an amazing variety of stalls, but the key to this one is that they are limiting the number of each type of stall. This should mean that everyone has the best weekend possible.

Needless to say, I will be taking along lots of the projects I have shared with you over the past few weeks, including my Advent Calendar Trees (pictured below) and a few pictures, including two inspired by a couple of fellow Team members, one of whom brought her example to our crafternoon the day before OnStage.

I LOVE these cuties, and they really are quite straightforward to put together. I used a Night of Navy background for the smaller one and Basic Black for the larger one. The stars in the sky are simply holes punched using the 1/8" Circle Punch. The scene is made using the Hearts Come Home dies and Shimmer White card.

Normal Service will be Resumed Shortly

Well THAT was a surprise! I had in tended to post more about the Stamparatus today, but it has proved so popular already that the first Reservation Window was closed in under 30 minutes. This is because the manufacturer had confirmed the number of units they would be able to produce in time for shipping to take place in early February. So, although they are being manufacturered to order, there was always going to be a finite number available.

There are two further Reservation Windows prior to the Stamparatus being launched officially in the next Annual Catalogue, see the table below for these dates. If you missed this window, you can still trserve one for delivery during Sale-A-Bration by setting an alarm for 9pm GMT on 5 December.

RESERVATION WINDOWSAVAILABLE TO SHIP
16–30 November 2017Approx. 1 February 2018
5–30 December 2017Approx. 19 March 2018
15–30 January 2018Approx. 15 April 2018

I will be back either later today, or tomorrow, with a 'normal' post for you all. See you soon!!

All I can say is that you NEED to reserve your Stamparatus NOW!

Tonight at 9pm GMT, you are able to reserve your Stamparatus. This is like no other Stamp Positioning tool out there. It has four, yes FOUR surfaces. It has movable plates. It has flipable (I think I just invented that word) plates. It can be used with Photopolymer or Clearmount Red Rubber Stamps. I am not sure it can make you a cup of tea, but I'm sure it will try!! Watch the video here:

You can find all the information you need to reserve yours HERE and a list of Q&As HERE

But you know what, just Reserve it by going to my online store at 9pm GMT, so click the Sunflower below, select the Stamparatus Page and follow the instructions above to get yours delivered to your door in February. Be one of the very FIRST people to experience this amazing tool.

There are a couple of things to remember; you won't pay for this item until it is due to ship and you finalise your order. You will be able to add additional items to your order when your Stamparatus is due to ship AND just in case you need a further incentive, anyone who reserves a Stamparatus in my online store in November and forwards a copy of the confirmation email to me at liz.yuille@artlover.com will receive a pack of goodies in December as a Thank You! This is in addition to your usual Customer Gift for any other order you place in November - and trust me, you are going to want to place at least one more order in November (but more on that tomorrow)

Once your new toy is ready to ship you will be sent an email or text to let you know. At this point you can go into your Account and add any other items you may want to ship at the same time (and save on postage) AND if your new toy is shipping during Sale-A-Bration, you just need to add one more item to your order to get a FREE product from the new Sale-A-Bration Catalogue (which is jam packed full of AMAZING items)

There will be two further reservation windows, just in case you are able to wait!!

RESERVATION WINDOWSAVAILABLE TO SHIP
16–30 November 2017Approx. 1 February 2018
5–30 December 2017Approx. 19 March 2018
15–30 January 2018Approx. 15 April 2018
As a Customer, you can reserve ONE Stamparatus in each Reservation Window. As a Demonstrator, I can reserve THREE and get a DISCOUNT, so if you want more than one of these the best thing to do is to join my team so you get all the perks of being a Demonstrator.

My OnStage Experience and my Goals

You will know that I attended OnStage in Solihull last Saturday. This was an amazing experience, not least of all because I was honoured to have been asked to present one of the new stamp sets that is to be launched in the new Spring/Summer Catalogue in January. Now let's just get this done! I forgot to bring my samples home, and as I started a new job on Monday, I have NOT had time to replicate them since I got home. What I did manage to do on Sunday, was a quick FaceBook Live summarising the amazing experience that I had, and it is this that I want to share with you here today.

The next thing I want to share, and I don't say this enough, probably because I am a British woman who has been brought up not to, is this. I have worked so hard in the past year to build up my business and I love it. I love my customers and I love my Team. But I have some goals that I really want to reach and to do that, I need more customers and I need a larger Team. It is as simple as that. Without the support of others, I will get no further. That's not to say I don't love what I am doing now, neither is it to say that I am not incredibly grateful for those who are already supporting me, but I have a goal, and to reach it I need more customers and a larger Team.

By this time next year (well actually by the end of September next year) I want to have promoted to the next level and, ideally, have earned the Incentive Trip, which is an all expenses paid cruise around the Greek Islands.

So what am I saying? Well, if you have enjoyed my videos and you live in the UK, please consider either becoming a customer, or, if you want the best deal in the catalogue, why not join my team and get an incredible £130 of product of YOUR choice for just £99 including Postage and Packing. Joining Stampin' Up! has no real obligations; you get the best of both worlds, all the same benefits as a customer, plus a discount!! There are minimum orders to meet, but for most hobby crafters these are not a stretch. And if you don't meet the targets, you just become a customer again (but get to keep everything you have bought or earned along the way! Get lots more information HERE

That's it nothing more, just that.

Inspire.Create.Challenge 005

Today sees the fifth of our Challenges and it is a Sketch Challenge, which is one of my favourites as it gives enough inspiration to set the creative juices going, but is not too restrictive.

Bundle of Love and Beautiful Bouquet Eclipse Card Stampin Up

As you may know. This year sees the 10th Anniversary of Stampin' Up! coming to the UK, but what you may not know is that today is also the 10th Anniversary of my Team Leader signing up as a Demonstrator; one of the very first in the UK. It seems appropriate to mark these milestones in today's project, so I have taken the sketch and used the feature circle to mark this amazing number, with my first Eclipse Card. To take part in this challenge, just click on the sketch, which will take you straight to the website!
I knew that I had to use shades of pink for this card as the lady concerned is a great fan of this colour. She doesn't mind which shade, as long as it is pink - and the Team is called the Pinkies as a result! Having made the decision about the colour, and knowing that I wanted to include a foil, I instantly went to the Bundle of Love Designer Series Papers and pulled out one of my favourite designs. I stamped in four shades of pink on Very Vanilla with the floral images from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, die cut with the Layering Circles and Large Number Dies, added the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and I was good to go.

Bundle of Love and Beautiful Bouquet Eclipse Card Stampin Up

I actually made two of the same cards, because I also want to send one to our wonderful Country Manager, who has been with Stampin' Up! since it opened in the UK. Both these ladies are amazingly supportive and hard working. They both know the right thing to say at any moment and I am delighted to have them in my circle of friends. And, yes, I have used lots of Gold Foil, but they are both worth it!

I hope I saved the best until last Advent Bonus Project - #240

I know that Advent really only has 24 Days, but I need to share this project with you, so I hope you will forgive me. I admit that the numbers I used are Contraband, but to get the right size, there was no choice, so please forgive me for that too.

This is really not a complicated project. It is one that takes a little time as you do need to make 24 boxes, but they are fairly simple boxes, so it is just the repetition that you have to address.

Remember the layers are three, six, five, four, three, two and one. I stuck each layer together individually and made sure they were fully dry before I then stuck the layers together. I encourage you to use a wet glue (obviously my recommendation would be TomBow Multipurpose Glue) if you want this project to become a Christmas Tradition; it will withstand the variations of temperature that stored Christmas decorations are likely to have to put up with.
