Inspire.Create.Challenge 005

Today sees the fifth of our Challenges and it is a Sketch Challenge, which is one of my favourites as it gives enough inspiration to set the creative juices going, but is not too restrictive.

Bundle of Love and Beautiful Bouquet Eclipse Card Stampin Up

As you may know. This year sees the 10th Anniversary of Stampin' Up! coming to the UK, but what you may not know is that today is also the 10th Anniversary of my Team Leader signing up as a Demonstrator; one of the very first in the UK. It seems appropriate to mark these milestones in today's project, so I have taken the sketch and used the feature circle to mark this amazing number, with my first Eclipse Card. To take part in this challenge, just click on the sketch, which will take you straight to the website!
I knew that I had to use shades of pink for this card as the lady concerned is a great fan of this colour. She doesn't mind which shade, as long as it is pink - and the Team is called the Pinkies as a result! Having made the decision about the colour, and knowing that I wanted to include a foil, I instantly went to the Bundle of Love Designer Series Papers and pulled out one of my favourite designs. I stamped in four shades of pink on Very Vanilla with the floral images from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, die cut with the Layering Circles and Large Number Dies, added the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and I was good to go.

I actually made two of the same cards, because I also want to send one to our wonderful Country Manager, who has been with Stampin' Up! since it opened in the UK. Both these ladies are amazingly supportive and hard working. They both know the right thing to say at any moment and I am delighted to have them in my circle of friends. And, yes, I have used lots of Gold Foil, but they are both worth it!

  1. What a beautiful card to mark the coinciding anniversaries. I like both versions, even though they are pink, which is not my favorite color. ☺ I'm sure they were thrilled and will display them and cherish them.

I already have a Misti "Lookalike" and I can't justify buying another one - my husband would kill me if I did...hahaha. Good luck Liz. Hugs Ali xx
