All that Glitters is about to STOP

I know you are almost glad that today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration so you don't have to see anymore of my dreadful Post Titles! But this is a very sad day. It is the very LAST DAY of Sale-a-Bration. After today it will be too late to make the most of any of the wonderful offers that you have been thinking about since 4th January. I know we all thought that three months would be such a long time and there was no rush to place our qualifying order, but there really is no time to loose today.

Today's project features the brilliant (sorry, another pun!) Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack, and two of the three colours - have you spotted that I am saving the Bermuda Bay for ME!!!!

The Window Box Thinlits Dies are such fun to use, and really very straightforward, just cut two of the large pieces, burnish along the pre-scored lines and apply glue - what could be easier. Certainly making the boxes was easier than shooting the video this time, as you will see if you take a look at it. I think running out of battery is one thing, but running out of room on the memory card too, is just not fair in one video!!

Although I have not used the matching stamp set, there is one (Window Shopping), and if you buy them together you can get 10% off if you use the Bundle item number, listed below in both wood and clear mount options. If you buy the Bundle you will qualify for a Sale-a-Bration item without ordering anything else, but if you want other SAB items, you really do need to sort that out TODAY.

I have listed ALL of the Sale-a-Bration items at the bottom of this post so you can have a look at all of them and select which ones you need to get ordered (remember, one FREE with every £45 you spend - plus P&P)

Don't delay, hop over to my online store NOW and place your order.

If your order is over £25 (plus P&P), please use the Hostess Code:

To join my Team and get to pick two Stamp sets FREE in addition to the usual £130 of product (all for just £99 inclusive of P&P), click here before the end of 31 March 2017

Delicate Details Disappear!!

I know, they are getting worse every day, but I am hoping that I will be able to stop you from missing out on these amazing deals - TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY!!!!!

Today I am featuring the Delicate Details stamp set from Sale-a-Bration. It was designed to go with the Falling in Love Suite from the Spring/Summer Catalogue, which is how I have used it here. But it is so much more than that, anywhere you want a bit of fine detail would benefit from this set. I have used the largest of the lace designs, but some of then are very fine indeed, so don't think you have to have masses of lace detail, these can give you just a hint too.

The Stampin' Up! stamps are such good quality (even in Photopolymer, which has had some bad press), that you can pick up every last little detail, even if you use heat embossing, which we all know can be tricky with low quality stamps when you use this technique.

I hope you enjoy these really easy, but stunning cards and will jump over to my online store to get yours before it is too late.

Don't delay, hop over to my online store NOW and place your order.

Inside The Lines Flying Away!

By the end of this week, you will probably be glad to see the end of my dreadful Titles, but I am sure you will not be glad to see the end of Sale-a-Bration. I am staggered that there are only three more days left to take advantage of these amazing deals. Everywhere you turn there are FREE items being forced on you by Stampin' Up! Whether it is this fantastic Designer Series Paper, Glimmer Paper and the Ribbon Comb I used here, or the extra FREE Stamp Sets (from either the Annual or Spring/Summer Catalogue) you can add to your Starter Kit, but still only pay £99, including P&P. The EXTRA £20 of Stampin' Rewards as a Thank You for placing an order over £200 (either you individually, or at a Party you Host), these are all going to be missed.

I had a request a few weeks ago to show how I had made the card in this post, which featured inlaid pieces of Glimmer Paper into die cut shapes. Well today is the day. Although the project is different, the technique is the same, so I hope you enjoy seeing how it is done. I should probably have used the Bee version for my video, but at least you got to see one of the most fiddly versions!!

For the small areas of watercolouring, I used my Clear Wink of Stella in the place of an Aqua Painter so I got instant glitter; just remember to clean the brush tip once you are done!

The Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper is a perfect match for the Dragonfly Dreams stamps and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies, and can be bought as a Bundle, saving 10% (which we love!). If you buy the Bundle and then add one other small item, you will qualify for a Sale-a-Bration item.

Don't delay, hope over to my online store NOW and place your order.

Don't Let this get Carried Away!!!

Sorry about that! I just couldn't resist a cheesy title. But there is a serious message behind it. We are just four days away from the end of Sale-a-Bration 2017, including today!!! This is really scary, and I am going to miss using all those fantastic FREE items so much, they really have been fabulous to play with.

Today I am featuring the Carried Away Designer Series Paper, which is pretty high up on my favourite items from Sale-a-Bration. The colours are so fresh and vibrant and the papers match the Lift Me Up Stamps and Up & Away Thinlit Dies perfectly. Remember that if you buy the stamps and dies as a bundle, you will save 10% AND if you order the Wood Mount Bundle, you will qualify for the paper as your FREE item; if you order the Clear Mount Bundle and add a pack of Dimensionals or a bottle of Multi Purpose Glue, you will hit £45 EXACTLY, so will still be able to get the paper FREE. How perfect is that.

I am really pleased with how this card turned out, using very few supplies, but such a fun little card.

Don't delay, hope over to my online store NOW and place your order.

Two Minds Think Alike for the Global Design Project GDP080

With the clocks having changed in the UK over the weekend, the information about the new Global Design Project Challenge came out an hour later than in the past few weeks, so I had a bit of time to think about what projects I might work on this week and was looking for some inspiration.

It also gave me time to be a little domestic (which I am so bad at!), so put some laundry away, that should have been put away over the weekend. One of the items was a pair of my socks, and I thought what a great colour combination they are, never mind how cute they are too! To me they are Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Whisper White.

Imagine my surprise when the colours that the fantastic Louise Sharp had chose in her 'Case the Designer' Project were the same, but with the addition of So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz! The Jar of Love stamp set was already on my desk for me to make a project this week, so time to create!

Never one to be too modest, I am really pleased with how this came together, particularly how the flower stems run straight into the jar, even though some are flat stamped images and some are die cuts. I also love how repeats of the hessian stamp (burlap if you are in the US) can work as a background for the strip across the middle of the card.

So a good start to the week for me.

Remember that Sale-a-Bration finishes on Friday, so there really is very little time left to get your FREE items. As at 11.30 British Summer Time, there are two SAB items that are low in stock; the Amazing Glimmer Paper Assortment (#143831) and the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (SAB Special #147360). Remember that for the latest editions to the FREE ITEMS, which are also Catalogue Items, you MUST use the SAB Item Number, these are listed below.

Another thing to remember is that if any of the current Bundle Items carry over, they will NOT be available as Bundles, so if you want the Bundle DISCOUNT, you will need to buy them from my online store before the end of May, so why not get them now and also get some FREE items from Sale-a-Bration? The Jar of Love Bundle will get you a FREE Item, so that is a double saving!!

Inside the Lines Inside the Deadline

I seem to be on a trend of really unfortunate titles for my posts at the moment, sorry!

This little box came about simply to highlight the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, before it is gone for ever. I so tried to get it to work from a piece of 6x6 paper, but for the hand-cream I wanted to make it for, it just wasn't going to happen. So we are using a piece 6-1/2 x 6-1/2" (16.5 x 16.5 cm). Add a few scraps for die cutting, and you are done.

Scoring is at 1, 2-3/4, 3-3/4 and 5-1/2" (2.5, 7, 9.5 and 14 cm). Turn by a quarter, then score at 1 and 5-1/2" (2.5 and 14 cm). Final dimensions are 4-1/2 x 1-3/4 x 1" (11.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm).

The tag was super easy, using the That's the Tag Bundle and some solid Baker's Twine. All wrapped up in really pretty ribbon.

So, now you are going to want to get your hands on this really pretty paper; don't delay, hop over to my online store NOW and place your order.

Lots of Fun Little Designer Things

I really can't believe how close we are to the end of Sale-a-Bration. I will be so sad to see the end of it, it has been such fun playing with so much free stuff, I really don't want it to end.

I am taking every opportunity to make the most of all the wonderful SAB stuff until the very last moment, and today is no exception. It is however a slightly different project, as it is for gift tags, something I have not done since my Twelve Tags of Christmas series. I took one look at the Designer Tee stamp set and know that they would be perfect for this as they are just the right size for these little projects.

I have great fun cutting up lots of scraps into 2" widths (5 cm for those who prefer metric) and feeding them into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, quick bit of corner rounding with the Project Life Corner Rounder and the main tag was done, then it was a simple case of stamping in the matching colour ink on Whisper White, cut at 1-3/4" (4.5 cm), cut to the right length for the tag, round the corners. Done.

A really simple project, but one that has so many possibilities.

Remember that you can get this stamp set FREE with a Qualifying Purchase of just £45 (plus P&P), please don't miss out on these great items, place your order now!

Mothering Sunday and My Amazing VIP Mother Revisited

I could start the whole debate about whether Sunday is Mother's Day or Mothering Sunday, but all I will say is that in our home it is very firmly Mothering Sunday. In the UK this is always two Sundays prior to Easter as the tradition dates back to when girls who were in 'service' were allowed to visit their Mothers two weeks prior to Easter and would often pick Spring flowers on the way home; which is where the tradition of giving your Mother Flowers comes from. You see you don't just get fabulous projects here, you get Social History too!!

You may remember the project I shared with you on 19 March, which was a little Pillow Box that is the latest project for my VIP Reward Members. Well I also wanted to make a card for my Mother and one to go with the Pillow Box, just so it was a bit of a set. I also want to continue to highlight a few of the Sale-a-Bration items while this fantastic promotion is still on. So here are the pictures.

The dimensions I give below are for the smaller card, rather than the one I have made for my Mother, but the technique is the same. Lots of heat embossing to make a resist for lots of inking and ombre. O am really pleased with the result (when am I not!?) and think it goes really well with the little box, which was rather the point. To get your hands on your FREE ITEMS, don't delay, hop over to my online store NOW and place your order.

More Easter Treats - This time with Chocolate!

You may remember that Chocolate and I have a love/hate relationship, but I do understand that for some people the thought of Easter without Chocolate is just not something to contemplate, even if that does mean Marmite Chocolate - seriously, there are Marmite Chocolate Easter eggs this year, two things I seriously do not get on with. But I can get my head around a few mini eggs in a cute little box, particularly when the box has already been made for you and all you need to do is decorate it. We all need a few tricks like this up our sleeve don't we.

Stampin' Up! make the cutest little treat boxes (Clear Tiny Treat Boxes #141699) and these hold a surprising amount; in my sample I managed to get 11 mini eggs in. My mini eggs came from Aldi, but the ones from Waitrose are the same size, so just chose your shop and take it from there!!

The coloured card I used was the fabulous, and often overlooked, Irresistibly Floral Speciality Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalogue (#141644). I had passed it by until I was at a Team Event last month and we got to use this, now I just wish I had registered it before. It really is fabulous, but in the catalogue it looks like plain white paper. And it is, but with glossy embossing already on it. All you need to do is colour it any colour you want, however you want (well maybe not with a VERY wet Aqua Painter). In this example all I used was one strip 1-3/4" (4.5 cm) wide and the full 12 " length, coloured it in Sweet Sugarplum ink with the Sponge Brayer, to match the foil of the eggs, then wrap it around the box stick it together with some Fast Fuse, job done. Quick bit of stamping and layering, and finished.

Did you notice that I have used the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper from the Sale-a-Bration FREE items? You only have until the end of March to get your hands on it, assuming it lasts that long. You get 12 6 x 6" sheets (so perfect for the BigShot), four each in Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum - dare I say that I am already in mourning for these, I love them so much.

Don't delay, hope over to my online store NOW and place your order.

Thankful for Sale-a-Bration

Over the past few days, and for the next (VERY) few, I thought I should make sure you are kept aware of the impending end of Sale-a-Bration 2017. This is a sad time for us all as we have to say goodbye to some really special stamps, papers, ribbons, oh the list goes on.

Today's project and video focus on one of our wonderful, subsidised, stamp sets. Did you know that you can only get these with Stampin' Rewards (the FREE credit you get when you place an order of at least £150, or host a party where the sales reach at least that amount)? Did you know that as an extra 'Thank You' Stampin' Up! have reduced the price of these items, so you can make your credits go further. This set would retail at £19, but you can get it for just £11.50 of credit. WOW!

If you place an order that qualifies you for Stampin' Rewards you will also qualify for THREE, FREE Sale-a-Bration items AND become one of my VIP Reward Members, so many extras.

I would be so sad if you were to miss out on these fantastic products by just not getting your order in on time, particularly as if an item sells out before Friday, it will not be restocked, so this really is a case of 'Once its gone, its gone....for good'.

Don't delay, hope over to my online store NOW and place your order.

Fabulous Flora - And Such Good Value!

Did you know that the Hostess Exclusive Stamp sets are subsidised? Did you know that you can only 'buy' them with Stampin' Rewards? I shared one of these sets with you on Saturday, and here is another one. This also comes from the Annual Catalogue and is hiding at the back on page 198. Go and have a look and you will see that it is just £10 if you get it in the Clear Mount version (£13.50 if you want the wood block version), but if these were available as a retail item those prices would be £16.00 and £23.00 respectively. Stampin' Up! are so grateful for your custom that they want to give you are really big 'Thank You' in a way that they know you will love.

The idea for this project was another of the projects in the latest edition of the Demonstrator only Magazine 'Stampin' Success'. As ever, I have taken the project and replicated it pretty closely in the first instance, and then changed it up a bit for the second version. Not wishing to diminish the original, I actually prefer the second version; it has a lot more 'pop' and I think that Rose Red cardstock makes the whole project, it makes the vellum and doily more obvious and sets off the water-colouring.

I used Shimmery White cardstock and an Aqua Painter for the, oh so easy water-colouring as this is more suitable than either of the Whisper White cardstocks for this technique. Simple but effective. Just the sort of project I like to have, and with this stamp set you also know that it is amazing value.

Don't delay, hop over to my online store NOW and place your order.

Global Design Project 079 Amuses

So happy that it is Monday again and time for another Global Design Project Challenge as I always enjoy these challenges. BUT today my heart sank a bit when I saw that it was a Theme Project, with 'Amusement Park' as the theme.

When the Spring/Summer Catalogue came out I really wasn't smitten by the Cupcakes & Carousels Suite, and as I have to draw a line somewhere on my purchases, it just didn't make the cut, other than the paper stack, which I could see myself using. I took a look at the samples and saw that some of the Design Team had cut out the Carousel Ponies from the paper stack, so I wondered if this was the way to go. Then I remembered that the Up & Away Thinlits and the Lift Me Up stamps (which I bought as a bundle, saving myself 10%) have cupcakes in them.

With this thought in mind and knowing that one of the stamps in the Cupcake & Carousel set is a Ferris Wheel of Cupcakes, I had the seed of an idea, but it depended on one crucial piece of equipment being to hand.

After a bit of digging, I found what I needed, a needle with an eye just large enough to take bakers twine! I grabbed some Peekaboo Peach 12 x 12 card, cut it in half for my card base and then got to work with the needle and twine to make the struts for a Ferris Wheel. Stamped and cut a dozen cupcake tops and bases with the Big Shot a bit of glimmer paper, sentiment, lots of dimensionals, and I was done.

I am pleased with the result and hope you enjoy it too. Go and take a look at the other entries and the Design Team samples for lots of inspiration (just click on the Global Design Project Challenge logo above to reach the site).

To My Amazing VIP Mother

It is just one week until Mothering Sunday, so I wanted to share a project I have made that would be perfect to hold a little something special for the most special lady in your life.

I am really pleased with how this turned out as we don't have a Pillow Box die in our arsenal, so I had to work out a quick and easy way to make it from what we do have available, and it really is very straightforward, once you know how...... Do you want to know?

This is a particularly special little project, because I have put it together as an exclusive for my VIP Reward Members. These are also very special people for me because they support me, so in return I like to spoil them. I have put together a video on how I made this, which will be in the next VIP Newsletter, and nowhere else. To get access to this project, all you need to do is place an order on my online store for at least £25 (plus P&P) and use the Hostess Code for March:

UCCUKJFE

For full details of the extras you get for being a VIP Reward Member, click this link:

If your order is over £150 (plus P&P), don't use the Hostess Code as you will get your own Hostess Rewards, but I will still add you as a VIP Reward Member, so you get all the other amazing treats I give my VIPs.

Remember that after today there are only FIVE DAYS UNTIL THE END OF SALE-A-BRATION, so if there are still items on your wish list such as the Metallic Ribbon Combo I have used here, now is the moment to place an order. At the time of writing this, there are no SAB items out of stock in Europe, but some have started selling out in North America, and they will not be restocked. Remember you are allowed a FREE ITEM from SAB with every £45 you spend (plus P&P), so you also get to be a VIP Rewards Member! BARGAIN!!!

Pun Intended - CASEing the Demo Magazine

I have mentioned it before, but the exclusive magazine that Demonstrators get once a quarter, Stampin' Success, is a wonderful resource for lots of things, including some inspiration, so when I saw a project that was featured using the Pun Intended Hostess stamp set, I just knew I needed to have a go at reproducing it with some of my favourite Designer Series Papers.

In the video I made a version that is very close to the original, but replacing the 'Pop of Pink' papers with 'Urban Underground' for a truly masculine look.

I really like this version, but I also wanted to create a feminine version, so made it again with 'Festive Birthdays' papers and Pumpkin Pie as the base, which is not actually in the specific papers I chose, but does feature on others in this suite, so I knew it would 'work'; Stampin' Up! just make it so easy to succeed!!

Did you know that you cannot buy Hostess stamp sets? These are only available if you have Stampin' Rewards, which you earn either through placing an order over £150 (plus P&P) yourself, or by hosting a Party where you and your friends get to 'play' with some of the products and place orders - as the Hostess, if the orders on the night are at least £150, you get the Stampin' Rewards to spend on anything you want in the catalogue. If you chose one of the Hostess stamp sets you get really great value for money, because they are subsidised by Stampin' Up!. If you were able to buy the 'Pun Intended' set as a regular stamp set, it would cost £14.00, but as a Hostess set, you would only use £8.50 of your rewards, so would have more to spend on other goodies.

Remember that until the end of March you can get EXTRA Stampin' Rewards if your order, or the total at a party, are over £200. Stampin' Up! will give you the usual % amount PLUS and EXTRA £20. If you are thinking about hosting a Stampin' Up! Party and are within an hour of Abingdon, contact me NOW to get a date in the diary. Don't worry if your friends have little or no crafting experience, they will still love the event, and we may convert them when they see just how easy Stampin' Up! make it to create wonderful projects.

I hope you like the project. If you want to see more of my videos, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
