Craft in Waiting

Last week I had a couple of hospital appointments (just some regular check up stuff). They were both on the same day, but with 5 hours between them, at a hospital half an hour away, or an hour to allow for parking time.

With lots of prep to get done for blog posts, having a day of sitting in waiting rooms, even allowing for coming home in between, was not something that I could really afford from a time point of view, so the challenge was what I could do while I was waiting. I really didn't have to think that hard. 'Inside the Lines' from the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue plus the wonderful new Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen were all I needed to pack.

With a few additions once I got home, these are the results close up:

Using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, I cut the group of Dragonflies in Gold Foil and then pieced in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Card for the wings.

This time it is the Bumble Bee in Black and Gold Foil.

And the Bumble Bee in Gold Foil.

The combination of the paper and watercolour pencils really is ideal for crafting anywhere; on the train, at a coffee shop or, like me, just waiting around. To join in the trend, just place a qualifying order of £45 (excluding P&P) and select Item #143830 as your FREE Gift from Stampin' Up! Remember to use the Current Hostess code too if your order is over £25, but under £150, and you will get a share of any Hostess Reward for the month; so more FREE stuff!!

My suggestion for a qualifying order for a new crafter with very few supplies, would be as follows, which comes to £47 including 40 Envelopes. From these supplies you could make a MINIMUM of 60 A6 cards, so less that 80p per card (including the envelope for 40 of them!!):
