When you just don't have the patience! - #247

I really fell for the Santa Paws stamp set as soon as I saw the Autumn/Winter Catalogue. We have three cats, as you may know, and I was brought up with dogs, so it was an obvious choice for us for our Christmas Cards. But then I looked at the images and how much colouring they were going to take if the design was anything other than just the outline. Then I went to OnStage!

One of the projects I saw on the Swaps Board was the perfect answer; rather than colouring in the whole Christmas Tree image, it highlighted just one small area. It was stunning and I am unashamedly copying it! My only disappointment is that I have no idea whose project it was, so I am not able to credit them. If it was your project, thank you so much for putting me out of my misery.

All you need to do is stamp the image once as normal, in Memento Tuxedo Black, then stamp just the area you want to feature on a piece of Thick Whisper White Card, colour it with any medium you want (I used the new Blends), punch it out with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch, punch a circle of Copper Foil with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and layer it all up on top of the main image. Mount it all on a mat of Soft Suede and a Whisper White Card Base and you are done.
