Lilypad Lake Bundle - Sunset Crane. Another amazing Project using this fantastic new Bundle (save 10%) coming soon to my online store. So calm, but I think so different from the Sailing picture I showed on Sunday.
I was inspired to recreate this project originally made by fellow Demonstrator, Jenny Hall. Jenny is based in the US and is a truly inspirational crafter; please take some time to visit her WEBSITE. I had not thought of using the sponge brayer on Glossy Cardstock before seeing this project, but it is a great effect. Jenny also reminded me that the original idea behind Versamark ink was as a Watermark ink; combine brayer and watermark to get this fantastic result.
I am in a bit of a Home Decor run at the moment because I have been running a stall at local Events and find that boxframe pictures are very popular. Mostly I use frames from IKEA, although this one was found ages ago at a local store. I really enjoy using these as it gives you the option of using 3D elements.

Loving this Lilypad Lake Sailing Picture idea. Let's start with how stunning the stamp set is, but how quick was it to put the picture together. Well the video is under 15 minutes, so allowing for my usual chit chat, oh, and of course I did cut and colour some of the boats in advance, so that probably evens out.
15 minutes to make a stunning framed picture is pretty good going I reckon, and all it took was four blue ink pads (three of which are retiring at the end of the month!), some Daffodil Delight, Memento Ink and Stampin' Blends, which you could substitute with Stampin' Write Markers, but would need to watch the black ink you use - Stazon would be a good choice. Further down the post I have listed the items other than the Lilypad Lake Bundle (because that is not available to you yet, so I would hate you to think it is!)
I love the simplicity of the picture, it is really calming and simple. Using a box frame does mean that you can add some dimension to the piece, which I think makes all the difference. I hope you will give it a try when the new Catalogue launches on 1st June.
