World Autism Awareness Day Blog Hop

Lift me Up Autism Awareness Light Bulb in Blue
Welcome to my project for World Autism Awareness Day. If you are following the hop you have probably come from Juana Ambida's site in Australia, I am sure you loved her project! You are now in Oxfordshire in the UK, so welcome!
Autism is a spectrum condition. All autistic people share certain difficulties, but being autistic will affect them in different ways. Some autistic people also have learning disabilitiesmental health issues or other conditions, meaning people need different levels of support. All people on the autism spectrum learn and develop. With the right sort of support, all can be helped to live a more fulfilling life of their own choosing. For more information click this link to the UK National Autistic Society:

As with many other Awareness causes, Autism has a symbol and a colour, in this case a light bulb and blue. I have taken these as my inspiration for today's project. Stampin' Up! does have a stamp set with a light bulb in it, but I don't have it, so I tried looking outside the box a bit, and came up with this project using the Up & Away Dies:

I wanted the project to have a really positive feel to it, so selected one of the wonderful sentiments from the High Tide set - There is nothing little about the light you shine - and also picked the Shine from one of the others in that set.
I have coloured the Whisper White Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon with the Light Night of Navy Blend pen, which is a very close match to the Pacific Point Ink and Cardstock of the card base.
