Today is also another day for me to share more of why I love doing what I do. Making the ordinary extraordinary is of course a great place to start. But one of my main joys is showing others that they can too. For years, part of my job has been to train others, but in really grown up serious stuff. I always enjoyed that part of my career, but having trained in Fashion Design, working in the City of London lacked the creativity I need in my life. It took a serious illness to make me realise that.
Now I have walked away from City life. I live in the country, on the edge of a small village, with my husband and three cats and I do this. All day! I teach classes, I run Coffee and Card events at one of our local Garden Centres, I have stands around the area selling what I make, and of course, I make tutorial videos. I do all of this because I love being creative, sharing that creativity far and wide, and the freedom working for myself brings.
