This was a fun project the ladies at my Clubs put together last month. It is a nod at Easter, but could be used for any Spring occasion, and is perfect for the child in us all.
The idea behind this project was to show how punches and dies can be used for more than the obvious. The pretty tail is made from layering up the Blossom Bunch Punch pieces, all stuck to a 1-1/4" punched circle. The background is Crumb Cake with the Hardwood Background stamp inked in Soft Suede, layered on So Saffron and then punched with the 2" Circle Punch, which is also used for the Bunny's body. His feet are die cut with the smallest of the Layering Ovals dies.
The idea is not original, but it is such a fun idea I really could not resist!

Oh! I love this!!! I have often looked at my punches and dies and thought that there must be other things that I could do with them, like you said, other than the obvious, but, unfortunately, I am not that creatively minded. I have to watch, then make, with my own "twist" on things :o)
ReplyDeleteI would love to see what you make with your punches and dies that are 'outside the box'. I am sad that this punch is retiring, I love it!
