My Monday Favourite - Global Design Project #GDP077

You should know by now that I love Monday mornings. Crazy, I know, but then my job is doing something I am passionate about, so no dreaded Monday mornings for me. Instead, it is time for me to put my mind to the Global Design Project Challenge. This week is a colour challenge, which I do sometimes find a little daunting as there are so few restrictions, other than the colour palette. So, any stamp set, any type of project, anything at all is acceptable, as long you restrict yourself to the colour palette.

This week is:
Three of the colours are in the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack, so this gave me my launch point. The other colours in that stack are Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Very Vanilla. I went with So Saffron, firstly because it is one of my favourite colours, but secondly because I think it is the better choice if you are only adding one.

I used an Early Espresso Cardbase and inked the edges of all the patterned papers in the same colour. I stamped the sentiment, from the Suite Sentiments set, in Bermuda Bay, picked a background paper plus four others. The background was matted on Peekaboo Peach card and then lifted off the Cardbase with Dimensionals. The sentiment and patterned papers were all cut to 1" widths. I used the Triple Banner Punch to 'flag' the ends, curled them with my bonefolder and then layered them all up.

I was happy with the final card, but felt there was something missing, so I pulled my 1/8" hole punch and a tiny scrap of the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper from the Sale-a-Bration Glimmer Papers and dotted these resulting glimmer dots over the front, using tiny spots of Multi Purpose Glue. NOW I WAS HAPPY.

I really am pleased with how this turned out and how simple it was to put together, once I got my act together!!

Remember the Glimmer Paper is only going to be around until the end of the month, so if you want to get your hands on your stack (12 6x6" sheets, four each in Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron), all you have to do is place a Qualifying order at my online store. That is just £45 (plus P&P) for each FREE item, so if your order is £90 (plus P&P), then you get to pick two FREE items.

That said, if your order is £90, then frankly, you should get the Starter Kit. This is always a fantastic deal, but during Sale-a-Bration, you get to pick two stamp sets (any you want from the Annual or Spring/Summer Catalogues) in addition to the £130 of product of your choice. That could be over £200 of product for just £99 (with FREE P&P). Just click HERE to join my wonderful team.
